Welsh B - Pitlands Juniper

After many fun filled years with my first pony a Welsh B - Pitlands Juniper, I decided I really needed something a bit bigger.

Whilst studying I decided I wanted a young Grey Connemara Gelding to break. It was three years before I could realise my dream. I set out to find a new peartner, starting at the local studs. Mt first visit was to the Scottsway Stud to see a three year old gelding, grey of course, by Kirtling Tam O'Shanter out of Hobbans Kittiwake.

Upon entering the stable my first impression was he would be too small. After blowing up my nose, giving me an unexpected kiss, and seeing him move I was quite taken by his charm. Determined not to buy the first pony I saw I viewed a few other ponies, but could not get 'Herbie' out of my mind.

That was in the Autumn of 1997, and he is still with me today. We have has an immense amount of fun together participating in many activities including showing, dressage, endurance and driving. His bonny outlook on life and friendly charming personality make him popular with children and he is borrowed for outings to Pony Club Rallies and enjoys Gymkana Games.
